Can an Auto
Gazelle run well and fast?
We heard this on the BBC
about the minibuses used in South Africa. Someone thought
he could better than the beat up overused old minibuses
used as cheap public transport for South Africans by replacing
them with good cheap minibuses and become rich in the process.
So he bought the Russian- made minibus and branded it as “ Gazelle”.
The new buyers were excited and cackled about how their
Gazelles left the old beaten up mini buses biting their
dusts because they had powerful engines.…well
for a while at least. The Gazelles had brakes and clutches
which lasted 10 days; or not at all, the tires exploded
or deflated when new, used or replaced; the axles fell
off. So who is laughing now??? A 3rd Party Automotive Inspection
job on the Gazelle was too big a challenge for AutospecsChina
when approached by a South African company. We recommended
them a more capable company in sorting out the Gazelles
that can run slow and last longer.
